Movie Journey Day 9

This brings me up to January 18 on which Naomi Watt linked me to The Ring. I believe that this was the first of the horror movies in the last few years that was rated PG13. I think the reason for the rating had some thing to do with the fallout over the Justine Timberlake/Janet Jackson incident. Because it was successful, Hollywood green lit a string of watered down horror flicks, much to chagrin of true gore hounds. I moved onto Chain Reaction with Brian Cox. OK, so this is not great movie but it hit the target it was aiming at and that's good enough for me. Some people have said that casting Keanu Reeves as a nuclear physicist stretches all credibility. What I noticed is he actually plays a machinist who works with nuclear physicists. So there.
